    Watch Everybody Hates Chris Online

Everybody hate Chris is a response and a parody to the title of the sitcom ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’. This is the story of a little boy who grows up in a ghetto of Brooklyn, in Bedford-Stuyvesant in the ‘80s. His life is actually based on the experiences of the comedian Chris Rock. Like so, Chris, in this TV show portrayed by Tyler James William, is a regular child growing up in the ghetto. He’s ambitious, kindhearted, but nothing like his lucky younger brother who is popular, more handsome and talented.

Because he’s the eldest of the family he has to take care of his brother and sister and that is not easy. In school he is bullied and laughed at. He is usually taken advantage of and it seems like his parents have no love or attention to spare for him. This is his story and how he develops a keen interest for telling jokes, and how he discovers that one thing that makes him better than the rest: stand-up comedy. His family is not helping his confidence at all.

Coming from a place where his mother (played by Thichina Arnold) is constantly paranoid that her children could become delinquents and criminals, and an temperamental and cheap-living, workaholic father (Terry Crews), Chris doesn’t get much help with his life from his brother and sister either: Drew (Tequan Richmond) is the younger brother better than him in everything and Tonya (Imani Hakim) is the manipulative and spoiled sort of sister who always mocks him and gets him into trouble. His only help (which usually ends up making things worse) is his friend Greg (Vincent Martella), as unpopular as Chris, but maybe a bit more weird than him. And with Chris Rock as the sarcastic voice of the narrator, Everybody Hates Chris becomes a saucy and enjoyable adventure though school and the streets of Brooklyn’s ghettos.
