The island is inhabited exclusively by pirates, thieves and cutthroats and is lead by Blackbeard, the most feared captain whom the British Empire considers dead. Even though the British Empire is known for its efficient British Navy, the most brutal military force in the world and plans to conquer new territories, they have to face the dangers of the sea. The main characher, Edward Blackbeard Teach, is played by a famous and appreciated actor, John Malkovich.
The cast also includes Tracy Ifeachor as Nenna Ajanlekoko, David Hoflin as Charles Rider, Claire Foy as Kate Balfour, Richard Coyle as Tom Lowe, Yasmine Al Masri as Selima El Sharad and Chris Perfetti, who took the role of Tim Fletch.
